  Se presenta un caso de hernia discal intradural a nivel del espacio L4-L5. Los autores revisan 41 casos previos encontrados en la literatura. Se discute brevemente la probable patogenia de la ruptura intradural del disco intervertebral. A este respecto revisan 92 protocolos de operaciones de raquis lumbosacro. encontrando adherencias firmes entre el ligamento longitudinal posterior y la duramadre ventral en 66 por l 00 de los casos de hernia discal, y en todos los casos de reintervención y de estenosis del canal lumbar.

  A case of intradural disc rupture at L4-L5 is presented. Forty one previous cases found in the literature are reviewed. The pathogenesis of intradural disc rupture is briefly analyzed, and in this connection the protocols of 92 operations on the lumbar spine were studied. Firm adhesions between the ventral dura and the posterior longitudinal ligament were:-found in 66 per cent of lumbar disc prolapse. These adhesions were present in all cases of reoperations for intervertebral disc displacement and of lumbar canal stenosis.
