    Aquest article reflexiona sobre una de les experiències didàctiques portades endavant per l’autor al llarg de la seua vida docent. L’objectiu era aconseguir una didàctica de la Història mitjançant l’ús de fonts primàries que fóra atractiva als alumnes. I, així, tractar d’impulsar-los a un estudi de la matèria que els fera abastar personalment la complexitat que implica una recerca històrica. L’experiència −assumida pel Departament de Geografia i Història de l’IES Sixto Marco d’Elx−, va estar desenvolupada sobre alguns dels temes habituals fixats als currículums de la Geografia i Història entre l’any 1998 i el 2014 i aplicada sobre els Llibres de Registre Civil del segle XIX custodiats per l’Arxiu Històric Municipal d’Elx. Primerament, exposa les raons que el portaren a engegar-las i sobre quina realitat docent l’havia d’exercir. A continuació, descriu el seu procés d’aplicació i en dedueix les corresponents conclusions.

    This article deals on one of the learning experiences brought forward by the author throughout his life as a teacher. The aim was to achieve teaching history using primary sources that would be attractive to students. And so, trying to push them to study the matter personally and to gain awareness of the complexity that involves historical research. The experience –carried out by the Geography and History Departament of the IES Sixto Marco of Elx–, was developed on some of the topics that set the curricula of Geography and History between 1998 and 2014. They also applied the results on books from the Civil Registry of the nineteenth century kept by the Municipal Historical Archive of Elx. The article firstly exposes the reasons and causes that helped to develop this teaching field, taking into account the reality under it had to be carried out. Finally, it describes the process of application and draws the appropriate conclusions.
