Los celos en estudiantes universitarios: Un estudio comparativo

    La investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar la prevalencia de los celos hacia la pareja en estudiantes universitarios, así como conocer si existían diferencias estadísticamente significativas en función de diversas condiciones de los sujetos (género, edad y tipo de Universidad). Para lo anterior se retomó el paradigma cuantitativo para el cual se empleó un diseño no experimental de tipo transversal y se consideró una muestra de 100 participantes.Se aplicó el Inventario Multidimensional de Celos (Diaz & Rivera, 1989) con la adaptación de Ochoa (1998). Se utilizaron la prueba T de student y la prueba U de Man Witney. Dentro de los principales resultados se encontró que en general el nivel de celos en estudiantes es moderado y que únicamente existieron diferencias estadísticamente significativas en cuanto al tipo de universidad al que pertenecen.

    The research aimed to identify the prevalence of jealousy toward the couple in college students as well as to know whether there were statistically significant differences depending on various conditions of the subjects (gender, age and type of college). For the above quantitative paradigm was considered using a non-experimental cross q-sectional design and considering a sample of 100 participants. Multidimensional Jealousy Inventory (Diaz & Rivera, 1989), by adapting Ochoa (1998) was applied. Student’s t-test and Man Witney U test were used. Among the main results, it was found that in general the level of jealousy among students is moderate and there were statistically significant differences only in the type of college to which they belong.
