    En este artículo realizamos una investigación teórica sobre las Sentient Cities (Ciudades Sensibles) y diseñamos una metodología para analizar si una ciudad reúne las características suficientes para ser considerada como tal.Este modelo sirve para evaluar la situación de las ciudades a la hora de implementar políticas urbanas basadas en dinámicas de participación ciudadana en entornos híbridos (físicos y digitales). Para ello, elaboramos tablas de evaluación con los elementos que creímos determinantes de una Ciudad Sensible y establecimos parámetros de medición para cada categoría.La Sentient City es una variación del modelo de ciudad Smart City, que también se apoya en el desarrollo tecnológico pero dando protagonismo a sus ciudadanos. En ella, la eficiencia se consigue a través de un sistema sostenible y participativo, fortaleciendo la Inteligencia Colectiva y los canales de comunicación entre los ciudadanos y la Administración.

    In this article we made a research about the Sentient Cities and produced an assessment model to analyse if a city is or could be potentially considered one.It can be used to evaluate the current situation of a city before introducing urban policies based on citizen participation in hybrid environments (physical and digital).To that effect, we've developed evaluation grids with the main elements that form a Sentient City and their measurement values.The Sentient City is a variation of the Smart City, also based on technology progress and innovation, but where the citizens are the principal agent. In this model, governments aim to have a participatory and sustainable system for achieving the Knowledge Society and Collective Intelligence development, as well as the city’s efficiency. Also, they increase communication channels between the Administration and citizens. In this new context, citizens are empowered because they have the opportunity to create a Local Identity and transform their surroundings through open and horizontal initiatives.
