  Este artículo busca evidenciar el valor artístico de Danzas privadas. Manual de rituales de Jorge Holguín Uribe, a partir del uso de la parodia, para mirar si es posible inscribirlo en el mundo de lo literario. Las características del texto en cuanto a forma y contenido, además de su clasificación como “manual”, hacen difícil hacer una aproximación literaria a primera vista; sin embargo, teniendo en cuenta el amplio mundo de la literatura y la gran variedad de teorías acerca de ella a través del tiempo, es pertinente detenerse solo algunas de ellas y dejar que sea el mismo texto el que revele su valor artístico. Para tal propósito se tiene en cuenta el estudio sobre la parodia posmoderna efectuado por Linda Hutcheon, no sin antes dar una mirada a los estudios sobre el lenguaje literario de Roman Jakobson y de Vítor Manuel de Aguiar e Silva, revisar las consideraciones hermenéuticas de Paul Ricoeur y retomar la definición de las listas realizadas por Umberto Eco.

  This article addresses the artistic value of Danzas privadas. Manual de rituales by Jorge Holguín Uribe from the use of parody to analyze to what extent it can be subscribed within the literary world. The characteristics of the text in form and content, as well as its description as a “manual”, present a difficulty when attempting an initial literary approximation. Nevertheless, considering the wide variety of the global literary spectrum, as well as the various accepted theories through time, it is pertinent to analyze in detail some of these, and thus, allow the text itself to reveal its full artistic value. For this purpose, Linda Hutcheson’s study on postmodern parody will be analyzed, and complemented by sketches from the studies on literary language by Roman Jakobson and Vítor Manuel de Aguiar e Silva. Furthermore, Paul Ricoeur’s hermeneutical considerations are also included as an initial input and Umberto Eco’s lists definitions are taken in its full value to set up this literary analysis.
