The Government of Ghana has taken various steps and initiative to provide speedy and quality services to Ghanaians through e-governance but in our legalistic societies, the success of e-governance depends of the availability of legal frameworks and policies. The objective of the study to review and understand the various legal policies and framework that support e-governance in Ghana as well as the challenges of implementing e-governance initiatives. To satisfy the objectives, secondary data were retrieved, reviewed and used for the study. The findings of the study indicate that several polices and frameworks support e-governance in Ghana but their implementations are burdened with social, cultural, political and legal constraints. The study provides some recommendation that are necessary to tackle the challenges of e-governance implementation.
