This article presents the proto-architecture studied to define the characteristics of the Wolf processor, a proposal for the implementation of a big-performance supercomputer based on the dataflow paradigm. In order to place this proposal in the context of research in dataflow architecture, a survey of the main efforts in this area carried out in Europe, North America and Japan is done.
