  Introducción La infección por Listeria Monocytogenes, bacilo gram positivo, ha demostrado un tropismo especial por el SNC y supone el 10% de las infecciones del mismo por este bacilo.

  Objetivo Se tratará de mostrar el comportamiento a nivel de imagen de este tipo de patología, antes y después del tratamiento. Así como, la importancia de la higiene en la manipulación, preparación y consumo de los alimentos.

  Material y método Se han recogido los casos de dos pacientes inmucompetentes que acudieron al servicio de urgencias con síntomas neurólogicos y fiebre.

  Conclusiones Es necesario una detección precoz y una instauración temprana del tratamiento antibiótico para la satisfactoria resolución del cuadro. La presencia de un paciente de febrícula o fiebre con focalidad neurológica deben ser elementos de alta sospecha. La infección del SNC por Listeria Monocytogenes presenta una morbi-mortalidad elevada.

  Conclusion Is necessary an early detection and early initiation of antibiotic treatment for satisfactory resolution of the picture is needed. The presence of a low-grade fever or fever patient with neurological focus shou/d be highly suspicious elements. CNS infection by Listeria Monocytogenes has a high morbidity and mortality.
