    O teste de interpretação de formas fortuitas de Rorschach foi idealizado por seu autor simplesmente a partir da prática psiquiátrica de aplicação das pranchas a diversos pacientes com doenças mentais variadas e sem maiores preocupações teóricas, na busca por uma codificação de uma zona de normalidade das funções mentais. O presente artigo pretende analisar o Teste de Rorschach do ponto de vista da semiótica, utilizando-se, principalmente, as obras de Ferdinand de Saussure, Charles Sanders Peirce e Roman Jakobson. Para além da proposta psicológica do teste, o objetivo do artigo é trazer-lhe novas considerações a partir da teoria dos signos e da linguística, visando aprimorar as considerações teóricas sobre as pranchas de Rorschach, focando nas questões abrangentes sobre o signo na obra de Saussure, e sobre o ícone, índice e símbolo da obra de Peirce, bem como nas funções da linguagem propostas por Jakobson. O objetivo central é, longe de tentar responder a todas as questões que cercam o teste, apresentar algumas considerações analíticas que podem trazer novos aspectos para a dinâmica da interpretação das formas, considerando-se, ao mesmo tempo, o polo do examinado e do examinando, e a interação que se forma entre ambos quando da aplicação do teste, além das dimensões linguísticas peculiares a cada um daqueles polos.

    The Rorschach test of interpretation of random forms was conceived by its author simply from the practical application of the boards to psychiatric patients with different mental illnesses, without any major theoretical concerns, in the search for the codification of a zone of normality of the mental functions. This article analyzes the Rorschach Test from a semiotic point of view, mainly referring to the works of Ferdinand de Saussure, Charles Sanders Peirce and Roman Jakobson. Beyond the psychological approach to the test, this article aims at providing new considerations based on the theory of signs and linguistics, in order to contribute with the improvement of theoretical considerations on the Rorschach boards, by focusing on Saussure’s concept of sign, Peirce’s concepts of icon, index and symbol, and Jakobson’s functions of language. The main objective is, far from trying to answer all the questions surrounding the test, to present some analytical considerations that may add new aspects to the dynamics of the interpretation of forms, considering at the same time the positions of the examiner and the examinee and the interaction that takes place between them when the test is being applied, including the language dimensions peculiar to each of those positions.
