En la obra de teatro Té de tías (1985) de Cristina Escofet, la dramaturga nos presenta cómo un agresor y una víctima se relacionan con los fantasmas de un pasado que los aqueja. El primero, es representado por un joven que se auto-destruye al querer perpetuar la posición dominante de sus progenitores y restituir su historia tras una nostalgia restaurativa. La segunda es una joven que logra liberarse de su lugar de víctima tras una melancolía productiva la cual le permite enfrentarse a los antecedentes que abusaron de ella, física y emocionalmente, y así construir una identidad y un futuro esperanzador. Ambos representan diferentes miradas en la negociación con la memoria y el olvido que ocurrió durante y después de la Guerra Sucia (1976-1983) en Argentina.

In Té de tías (1985), the playwright Cristina Escofet demonstrates how an aggressor and a victim manage the afflictions caused by the ghosts of their past. The first character is a young man whose wish to perpetuate the dominant position of his antecessors and to reinstate his past through a restorative nostalgia leads him to self-destruction. The second is a young woman who, as a result of a productive melancholy, is able to confront those who emotionally and sexually abused her. Thus, she is able to free herself from the victim role and re-build her identity and future. Both characters lay bare the negotiations that emerge with memory and forgetfulness during and after Argentine military dictatorship (1976-1983).
