Resumen de Quemaduras: experiencias de vida

  Debido a las secuelas que dejan, las quemaduras sonlesiones que trascienden en la vida de quienes las sufren,por el impacto en su salud, identidad y relaciones sociales.El objetivo de este artículo es presentar cómo es el procesoque atraviesan estas personas al incorporarse a suvida cotidiana con una imagen corporal distinta. En lasnarrativas encontramos que las quemaduras representanun cuestionamiento de la propia identidad debido a quemodifi can la imagen. Las secuelas se convierten en un es -tigma que no sólo recae en la apariencia, sino en lo que elcuerpo representaba.

  The burns are injures that transform the life of the personswho had the accident by the impact on their health,identity and social relations. This article aims to presentthe process people live when they return to their daily liveswith a different physical self-image. In the narratives wecan fi nd that burns represent a questioning of their identityby changing their physical self-image, that becomes astigma; which not only has changed their appearance butalso their physical body.
