El artículo aborda el estudio lingüístico de los seis documentos más antiguos (1274-1286) del Archivo Parroquial de Ejea de los Caballeros. Este estudio examina, en primer lugar, el sistema gráfico utilizado y después analiza los textos desde el nivel fonético-fonológico, morfológico, sintáctico y léxicosemántico.
Del estudio se deduce la vigencia plena del aragonés en sus variantes más meridionales, la escasa presencia de rasgos lingüísticos del navarro, así como la ausencia de indicios del proceso de castellanización que en el siglo XIII ya se había iniciado en otras zonas del Reino de Aragón.

The article deals with the linguistic study of the six oldest documents (1274-1286) from the Parochial Archives of Ejea de los Caballeros. To start with, this study looks into the graphical system used and then it looks into the texts from the phonetic-phonological, morphological, syntactical and lexical-semantic level. From this study, not only the full use of the Aragonese in its most Southern variants but also the slight presence of Navarrese linguistic features as well as the absence of traces of the process of hispanicization that in the XIII century had already begun in other areas of the Reino de Aragón are deduced.
