  • The authors consider the problem of constructing confidence bands for two-parameter exponential distribution reliability functions. They examine both two-sided confidence bands and lower and upper one-sided confidence bands. Both methods allow simultaneous inferences for all quantiles of the reliability function and are applicable for both a complete data set and a data set with type II censoring. The authors also derive optimal minimum area confidence sets for the two-sided case.
