The first part of this article deals with the experience of the International Staff Exchange Week organized by Helsinki University Library 30th May-3rd June 2016. The ISEWLib program is targeted at library professionals from the universities or other scientific libraries with interest in sharing ideas, benchmarking of practices and networking with international colleagues. This is the report of the themes discussed by the hosting team and the selected participants, the joint group work exercises and other interactive tasks including visits to the different library units on all university campuses, the National Library and the City Library. The second part of the article describes the architecture of Helsinki University Main Library and its services shaped on users’ needs.
