Resumen de Checking the Adequacy of Fit of Models from Split-Plot Designs

When determining measures of adequacy of fit for split-plot models, it is important to take into consideration the two types of errors that characterize split-plot experiments. A procedure is described for computing two R², R²-adjusted, PRESS, and R²-prediction in order to measure the adequacy of fit for whole-plot and the sub-plot submodels. The usefulness of computing two measures of model adequacy of fit for each split-plot design model is demonstrated with examples, and the predictive performance of each group of effects is described.
