Resumen de Optimum Designs Versus Orthogonal Arrays for Main Effects and Two-Factor Interactions

Eric D. Schoen

  • In industrial experimentation, the need to distinguish main effects from two-factor interactions calls for a design permitting simultaneous estimation of all these effects. Such a design can be constructed with either software for designs with optimized D-efficiencies or a catalog of orthogonal arrays. Using a wood construction experiment, it is shown how to choose between these approaches. Based on the results of this study, a list of recommended designs is given.
