Resumen de Discursos e imaginarios sobre la homosexualidad en Cartagena (1973-1985)

En este artículo se analizarán los diversos mecanismos que se utilizaron para construir a un “sujeto” homosexual en la ciudad de Cartagena, entre 1973 y 1985. En el período estudiado, intentaremos demostrar que los hechos centrales a examinar: el saber y los discursos psiquiátricos, las representaciones de la homosexualidad en la prensa, y la aparición del Sida; se constituyeron en nuevas formas de organizar la sexualidad, el cuerpo y el deseo. Reforzando así, las estrategias del dispositivo de poder sobre la sexualidad, a finales del siglo XX en Cartagena.

ABSTRACT This article pretends to carry out an analysis of the diverse mechanisms used to build-up a homosexual “subject” in the city of Cartagena between 1973 and 1985. I intend to demonstrate that the main issues to take into consideration for this specific case study are: knowledge and psychiatric discourse, representations of homosexuality in the press, and the emergence of AIDS. All of these embraced as new constituents to shape and to organize sexuality, desire and the body; therefore reinforcing the strategies of power over sexuality at the end of the XXth century in Cartagena.
