Resumen de El uso y la cantidad de información de gráficos en un libro de texto de física universitaria

  Este trabajo plantea el estudio de las representaciones gráficas presentes en un capítulo de un libro de texto de física universitaria, 48 en total. Se identificaron los tipos de representaciones gráficas. Se identificaron los usos y la cantidad de información extrínseca e intrínseca de los gráficos. La metodología propuesta recurre a la estadística descriptiva e inferencial. Predominaron los gráficos cartesianos de uso didáctico expositivo y científico teórico. Se encontraron pocos gráficos de uso didáctico instrumental y científico experimental. Se correlacionó la cantidad de información intrínseca y extrínseca con el uso. Se encontraron diferencias significativas entre la información de los gráficos de uso teórico y experimental, siendo mayor en gráficos de uso experimental. Se planteó la necesidad de ampliar la muestra incorporando las representaciones de otros capítulos, libros o materiales.

  This paper presents the study of graphic representations in a chapter of a textbook of college physics, 48 in total.

  The type of the graphic representations were identified. The use and amount of intrinsic and extrinsic information of the graphics were identified. The proposed methodology uses the descriptive and inferential statistics. Cartesian graphics of expositive didactic use and theoretical scientific use were predominated. Fewer graphics of instrumental didactic use and experimental scientific use were found. Significant difference between graphics information theoretical and experimental use were found, being higher the graphics with experimental use. The need to extend the sample to incorporate the representations of other chapters, textbooks or materials was proposed.
