This paper aims to highlight the challenges which will be faced by traditional classrooms, as universities brace themselves against an online offensive in trying to deliver classroom courses to compete with as well as combat the threat of web education, in terms of content needs. This paper will argue that the future of the University will be on-line, and that we need to anticipate these trends if we as universities are to participate in and shape this future.
