El Espíritu Santo y la esperanza en el discurso performativo de la escatología cristiana

    El presente trabajo pretende hacer una breve reseña acerca de la persona del Espíritu Santo despertando, sosteniendo y configurando en el creyente su comprensión del futuro en clave de Esperanza, es decir, con y según la Esperanza que se funda en la fe cristológica. El testimonio cristiano y su relevancia en el mundo, están asociados a la capacidad de transformar la realidad a partir de su predicación. La esperanza cristiana, compañera inseparable de la fe, anima el discurso escatológico en la predicación de la Iglesia, que dado su carácter performativo, transforma a quien lo anuncia y a quien lo recibe, transformando el mundo y creando las condiciones para la consumación del Reino de Jesucristo en la historia. Este trabajo comenzará con el análisis de la presencia del Espíritu Santo en toda la historia de la salvación, desde el Antiguo Testamento hasta el creyente que hoy quiere afirmar la presencia del reino entre los hombres. Luego veremos lo propio de la esperanza cristiana fundada en la promesa, distinguiendo lo que intenta pervertir esta esperanza, y sustentándose en la fuerza del Espíritu que ya actúa en la comunidad escatológica. Nos preguntaremos qué es la escatología y que caracteriza el discurso escatológico de Jesús en el anuncio del reino venidero. Por último, veremos qué significa que este discurso escatológico de Jesús sea performativo. De ese modo, llegaremos a comprender que esa comunidad escatológica de hombres nuevos, en su proclamación del reino, da comienzo y realiza ya la nueva creación.

    This paper aims to offer a brief review of the person of the Holy Spirit awakening, sustaining and shaping the believer in his understanding of the future in terms of hope, that is, by and in accordance with the Hope that is founded on the Christological faith. The Christian testimony and its relevance in the world are associated with the ability to transform reality through their preaching. Christian hope, the inseparable companion of faith, inspires the eschatological discourse in the preaching of the Church: given its performative character, it transforms anyone who announces it and anyone who receives it, transforming the world and creating the conditions for the consummation of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in history. The paper will begin with the analysis of the presence of the Holy Spirit in the history of salvation, from the Old Testament to today’s believer who wants to affirm the presence of the Kingdom among men. Then we shall examine to the distinctive features of Christian hope founded on promise (identifying that which tries to pervert this hope), and sustaining itself with the strength of the Spirit which is already at work in the eschatological community. We will ask ourselves what eschatology is and what characterizes the eschatological discourse of Jesus in his proclamation of the coming kingdom. Finally, we will see what it means to say that this eschatological discourse of Jesus is performative. Thus, we will come to understand that this eschatological community of "new men", in his proclamation of the Kingdom, begins and realizes the new creation now.
