Divergencias culturales que pueden ser causas de malentendidos entre griegos y españoles

    El presente trabajo estudia algunas de las causas culturales, agrupadas en varios temas, que pueden provocar malentendidos en la comunicación entre griegos y españoles. Para ello, se sigue un enfoque contrastivo de las dos culturas que en este trabajo interesan, la española y la griega. Se pretende un entendimiento mutuo mejor entre ambas culturas con el objetivo de evitar errores de adecuación pragmática y visiones estereotipadas.

    Así, se pone de manifiesto la necesidad para el profesor de ELE de reconocer y reflexionar sobre los hábitos de habla y las convenciones socioculturales que regulan los intercambios lingüísticos tanto en la lengua que enseña como en la propia, para poder trabajarlas en la clase.

    This paper studies several of the cultural causes that could provoke misunderstandings in communication between Greeks and Spaniards. For this reason, a contrastive approach is followed of the two cultures that are the target of this study, the Spanish and the Greek. In this way, we pretend to offer a better mutual understanding between both cultures, in order to avoid faults of pragmatic adequacy and stereotypical visions. So we point out the obvious necessity for the teacher of ELE to recognise the importance of the speaking habits and the sociocultural conventions that regulate the linguistic exchanges of the language he teaches as well as of his mother tongue, in order to be able to explain them to his students.
