    El inicio del cine sonoro argentino en 1933 coincide con el comienzo de la industria cinematográfica formada por el naciente sistema de estudios que consolidó el modelo de representación institucional o clásico. El presente artículo parte de una descripción general del pasaje del cine norteamericano mudo al sonoro cuyas instancias marcaron el pulso de la producción nacional, incluyendo un recorrido por la secuencia histórica de los dispositivos técnicos y sus vínculos con el contexto social y productivo. En este marco se sitúa el análisis de la dimensión sonora de las dos primeras películas argentinas de este periodo: Tango! y Los tres berretines, cuyo tratamiento musical permite explicar tanto el clima de época como las condiciones de producción de sentido en el cine.

    The birth of Argentinian sound film in 1933 matches the beginning of the film industry formed by the early stages of the studio system which cemented the institutional mode of representation or classic cinema. This article starts from a general description of the transition from American silent film to sound film which instances paved the way for Argentinian productions, including a tour through the chronology of technical devices and their bonds with the social and productive context of the time. This context is where the analysis of the sound characteristics of the first two Argentinian films of this period, Tango! and Los tres berretines is situated, and the musical treatment of this films allows us to explain the spirit of the time, the conditions of production of meaning in cinema.
