  • Resumen
    • Additionally, China's graphite industry faces some significant practical challenges which make graphite exploitation elsewhere in the world more likely, and indeed necessary. Some 70% of Chinese production is lower-grade amorphous graphite, with the remainder being flake graphite of small particle size. This presents a problem as emerging technologies require high-quality flake graphite with a larger particle size.

[Archer]'s graphite interests consist of 1,100km 2 of granted tenements that host two main graphite deposits - Campoona on Wild Horse Plain and Sugarloaf on Carappee Hill. In addition to these two major graphite deposits, exploration has identified numerous other graphite prospects through airborne electromagnetic surveys, rock-chip sampling and drilling.

"The Eyre Peninsula of South Australia is a world-class graphite mineral province with extensive high-grade flake graphite resources. It is also host to two previously worked graphite mines, one of which [the Koppio Mine] is located on Lincoln's tenements," Lincoln told IM, explaining what attracted the company to graphite.
