La serie Sexo en Nueva York cosechó un grandísimo éxito que condujo a la creación de dos películas para la gran pantalla Sexo en Nueva York. La película y Sexo en Nueva York 2. En dichas producciones se proponen distintos tipos de pareja y familia, que surgen en última instancia de opciones sexuales diversas, que la serie legitima de cara a la sociedad.
El fin de este estudio es relacionar dichos modelos con la ideología de género y comprobar si tanto la serie como los filmes pueden considerarse un ejemplo más de su visualización.

The series Sex & the City was very successful and led to the production of two movies, Sex & the City The Movie and Sex & the City 2.
In both productions different types of relationships and family models are proposed, which ultimately derive from varying and diverse sexual lifestyle options, which the series has worked to legitimize in the eyes of society. The aim of this study/paper is to relate these said models with the gender studies ideology and to ascertain whether the series and subsequent films could be considered a further example of its visualization.
