Resumen de La carrera del avestruz y la tortuga

El objeto del presente trabajo consiste en vincular “La garrapata y el avestruz”, un relato de la etnia vilela del Chaco argentino, con sus homólogos regionales a fin de compararlos, después, con la conocida fábula de la carrera entre la tortuga y la libre, recopilada en la antigüedad por Esopo, y otras manifestaciones tradicionales del mismo tenor. Tales cotejos permitirán, en primer lugar, remarcar la universalidad del motivo ancestral que pone en relación lo lento a lo veloz y, consecuentemente, lo pequeño y en apariencia débil a lo muy grande y fuerte (oposición cuya significación metafísica, por lo demás, intentaremos despejar aquí); y, en segundo término, fundamentar el origen mítico -esto es, sagrado- de los denominados relatos folclóricos o populares.

The object of this work is to link "The tick and the ostrich," a tale of ethnic vilela of the Argentine Chaco, with their regional counterparts in order to compare them, then, with the well-known fable of the race between the tortoise and the free, collected in antiquity by Aesop, and other traditional manifestations of the same tenor. Such checks will allow, firstly, emphasize the universality of the ancient reason that puts in relation the slow to the fast and, as a result, the small and weak appearance to the very big and strong (opposition whose metaphysical significance, otherwise, we will try to clear here); and, secondly, substantiate the mythical origin - i.e. sacred - the so-called folk or folk stories.
