  En Cachorros de negro mirar, Paloma Pedrero indaga en el oscuro mundo de los grupos juve­niles neonazis que surgieron en España durante los años noventa, los que se caracterizaban por su intolerancia hacia todo tipo de diversidad. En mi ensayo, recurro a la crítica de Theodor Adorno hacia el activismo como fetiche (entendido como el deseo de hacer cosas compulsiva­mente sin ninguna consideración ética) y el ideal pedagógico del rigor. También uso las teorías de Hanna Arendt sobre el terror totalitario, que ponen de relieve la absoluta sumisión del indivi­duo al colectivo como una de las características más relevantes de los movimientos totalitarios. En su anhelo de transformar a la humanidad en el portador activo e infalible de una ley superior, los movimientos totalitarios privan al cumplimiento de dicha ley de cualquier voluntad humana, lo que implica la negación del valor del individuo en favor de la especie. Según Arendt, el terror totalitario impone la obediencia ciega y anula la capacidad para elaborar convicciones propias.

  In Cachorros de negro mirar, Paloma Pedrero inquires into the dark world of neo-Nazi juvenile groups that appeared in Spain during the 1990s, which were characterized by their intolerance toward any kind of diversity. In my essay, I resort to Theodor Adorno’s criticism about activism as a fetish (understood as the desire to compulsively do things without any ethical considerations) and the pedagogical ideal of rigor. I also use Hanna Arendt’s theories about totalitarian terror, which highlight the absolute submission of the individual to the group as one of the most relevant features of totalitarian movements. In their longing for transforming human kind into the active and infallible holder of a superior law, totalitarian movements deprive the fulfillment of such law of any human will, which implies the rejection of the valué of the individual in favor of the species. According to Arendt, totalitarian terror imposes a blind obedience, and annuls the individuáis’ ability to elabórate their own convictions.
