    El presente trabajo pretende establecer una panorámica general del devenir artístico plástico en la región zuliana desde el siglo XIX hasta el siglo XX con el fin de guiar al lector interesado, en los hitos más importantes surgidos de este período. Se hará énfasis en el papel protagó- nico de ciertos artistas plásticos que generaron la difusión y caracterización estilística y formal del lenguaje artístico zuliano.

    This paper aims to provide an overview of the evolution of plastic arts in the Zulia region from the nineteenth until the twentieth century in order to lead the interested reader to the most important milestones that emerged from this period. Emphasis will be placed on the leading role of certain plastic artists who generated the dissemination and stylistic and formal characterization for the artistic language of Zulia.
