This article discusses the hypothetical reconstruction of the Plaza Mayor of Mexico in the sixteenth century. The objective was to make a graphical representation evidencing configuration and spatial arrangement of the buildings that existed around the square, in order to establish methods of analysis supported by print media that allow the study of architectural heritage and its evolution. This representation was made through three-dimensional models from the interpretation of chronic and plans of the period of study. It is important to note that the study buildings were destroyed or heavily modified by the flood of 1629, so the model obtained represents a stage that today does not exist.
