    El objetivo de este artículo es considerar la situación de la Iglesia Ortodoxa Rusa a fines del siglo XIX y primeras décadas del XX, sin omitir una vista general de la relación entre el poder imperial y el eclesiástico en el siglo XVIII. Además se comenta la actitud de Leon Nikolaevicz Tolstoi ante la Iglesia Ortodoxa Rusa y su actitud ante los dukhobors.

    The main objective of this article is to consider the situation of the Russian Orthodox Church at the end of the 19th century as well as the first two decades of the 20th century and to present a general relation between Russian Empire and the Russian Church in the 18th century. The introduction of Lev Nilolaevicz Tolstoy attitude towards Russian Orthodox Church and Dukhobors is also presented.
