Belarusian authorities arrested Uralkali's CEO, Vladislav Baumgertner, in August following the breakup of BPC on charges of exceeding his powers and embezzlement. Baumgertner remains under house arrest in Minsk.
In September, the Investigation Committee of Belarus issued an arrest warrant for [Kerimov], Uralkali's largest shareholder, for "abusive exercise of power and abuse of office".
Talks continue on the possible sale of the stakes in Uralkali held by Kerimov's partners, Filaret Galtchev, who owns 7% of the miner, and Anatoly Skurov, who owns 4.8%. Combined, their stake in Uralkali came to just over a third.
