China's output of amorphous graphite has restarted following a suspension in production which lasted for over a month.
Although this slowdown saw output from South Graphite in China's Hunan province grind to a halt, weak market demand has meant existing inventories were sufficient to supply the market during this period.
In addition to this, Japan's steel industry, one of the largest import markets of Chinese amorphous graphite, has begun to realign away from amorphous graphite, towards cheaper carbon alternatives.
