Educação a distância e a inclusão de estudantes com deficiências: algumas considerações

    Diante das novas realidades educacionais, o Ensino a Distância, aliado ao processo inclusão deve estar contemplado no debate atual do campo educacional. Ao problematizar sobre estes temas, novas organizações e espaços educacionais poderão ser redimensionados, podendo o Ensino a Distância, constituir-se como uma possibilidade no processo de inclusão de pessoas com deficiências. Assim, o presente artigo tece algumas indagações que emergem do interesse em analisar o processo inclusivo de estudantes com deficiências/necessidades educacionais especiais/necessidades especiais no ensino superior em uma modalidade específica de educação, que é a Educação a Distância (EaD). Considera-se importante pensar neste assunto, pois cada vez mais essa modalidade educacional se amplia devido à demanda de estudantes interessados em realizar formação superior ou continuada de estudos dessa forma. Além disso, esta modalidade educativa, impulsionada pelas tecnologias da informação e da comunicação, poderá proporcionar às pessoas com necessidades educacionais especiais, cada vez mais, o acesso e a oportunidade de vivenciar experiências da mediação pedagógica, principalmente nos ambientes virtuais de ensino-aprendizagem (AVEA).

    Against the new educational realities, the Distance Education (Educação à Distância - EaD) and the proposal concerning the inclusion must be taken into consideration in the current debate in the educational field. Problematizing these topics, new organizations and educational spaces will be able to be resized, and Distance Education may establish itself as a possibility in the process of inclusion of people with disabilities. Thus, this article presents some questions that emerge from the interest in analyzing the inclusive process of students with educational needs/special needs in higher education in a specific modality of education, which is the Distance Education. We consider important to think about this issue, because this educational modality is expanding itself even more due to the demand of students interested in making higher education or continued education of studies. Furthermore, this educational modality, driven by information and communication technologies, will be able to provide people with special educational needs with the access and the opportunity to go through experiences of the pedagogical mediation, mainly in virtual environments of teaching-learning.
