El objetivo de este artículo es presentar una concepción del texto y de la lectura que sirva de fundamento a una filosofía de la educación. El texto "como" otro no significa que el texto "sea" otro. El texto es "como" Otro, y así hay que leerlo. Aunque todo texto ha sido escrito por alguien en algún lugar, y en algún momento histórico, su significado trasciende a autor, tiempo y espacio. El texto "habla", y su voz es memoria, tradición. Pero la voz del texto también es la llamada de la exterioridad, de la diferencia, de la trascendencia y de la crítica. La pedagogía actual vive una crisis de lectura y de escritura porque ignora la alteridad del texto; sólo tiene en cuenta su funcionalidad.

The objective of this article is to present a conception of text and reading that may be used as the foundation to a philosophy of education. The text "as" another does not mean that the text "is" another. The text is "as" another, and is the way to read it. Although every text has been written by someone in some place and at a certain historical moment, its meaning trascends its author, time and space. The text "speaks" and its voice is memory, tradition. But the voice of the text is also the call of the externals, of the difference, of 278 trascendence and criticism. The current pedagogy is living a crisis of reading and writing because it ignores the changeable character of text; it only takes into account its functional character
