    Algunos foros de discusión franceses dedicados al embarazo o a la reproducción asistida muestran que las enunciadoras (todas mujeres) en ocasiones emplean palabras tales como brybry, gygy, fofos, zozos o zhom para referirse al embrión, al ginecólogo, a los folículos, a los espermatozoides o a sus parejas.

    El presente artículo plantea interrogantes acerca del modo según el cual dichas enunciadoras conciben el uso de semejante vocabulario en relación con aquello que pueden considerar como norma lingüística, y en relación también con la comunidad con la cual se identifican. El enfoque de la lingüística folk permite despejar perspectivas diversas: por un lado, este vocabulario, a pesar de que aún no se ha integrado al sistema de la lengua estándar, puede sin embargo ser percibido como normal, y hasta como prescriptivo en el dispositivo de comunicación (el foro de discusión) que utilizan dichas enunciadoras; por otro lado, este mismo vocabulario puede a veces considerarse como moralmente reprobable con respecto a la rectitud percibida de la lengua estándar; por último, es posible concebirlo como un elemento importante para garantizar la cohesión de una comunidad discursiva, que aquí se define según el dispositivo de comunicación, pero también y sobre todo por el género y la experiencia corporal, real o anhelada, del embarazo.

    Some French discussion forums devoted to pregnancy or medically assisted procreation show that commenters—all of them women—may sometimes use words such as brybry, gygy, fofos, zozos, or zhom to speak about the embryo, gynecologist, follicles, sperm, or their male companions.This article investigates how these commenters conceive of the use of such a vocabulary in relation to what they may consider the linguistic norm as well as in relation to the community that they may identify with. The folk linguistics approach allows us to identify several perspectives: on the one hand, this vocabulary, which has not yet incorporated the system of linguistic standards, may still be perceived as normal or even as prescriptive insofar as the mode of communication (the discussion forum) used by commenters is concerned; on the other hand, this same vocabulary can sometimes be considered morally blameworthy given the perceived rectitude of the standard language; finally, it can be thought of as an important element that ensures the cohesion of a discursive community, which is defined here by the mode of communication, but also and especially by gender and the bodily experience, real or desired, of pregnancy.

    Certains forums français de discussions consacrés à la grossesse ou à la procréation médicalement assistée montrent que les énonciatrices – toutes des femmes – peuvent parfois employer des mots tels brybry, gygy, fofos, zozos, zhom pour parler de l’embryon, du gynécologue, des follicules, des spermatozoïdes, des hommes leurs compagnons.

    Cet article s’interroge sur la façon dont ces énonciatrices envisagent l’emploi d’un tel vocabulaire par rapport à ce qu’elles peuvent considérer comme la norme linguistique, ainsi que par rapport à la communauté à laquelle elles peuvent s’identifier. L’approche de folk linguistique permet de dégager plusieurs points de vue : d’une part, ce vocabulaire, qui n’a pas encore intégré le système de la langue standard, peut quand même être perçu comme normal, voire comme prescriptif dans le dispositif de communication (le forum de discussion) utilisé par ces énonciatrices ; d’autre part, ce même vocabulaire peut parfois être considéré comme moralement blâmable par rapport à la rectitude perçue de la langue standard ; enfin, il peut être pensé comme un élément important pour assurer la cohésion d’une communauté discursive, qui se définit ici par le dispositif de communication, mais aussi et surtout par le genre et l’expérience corporelle, réelle ou souhaitée, de la grossesse.
