  • Resumen
    • The character of Medea, a woman and a barbarian, symbolizes the cry for the empowerment of women, but also the desolation of death and of war’s devastation.

      In Müller’s work there is an inversion of the male and female roles;

      death is everywhere, both in Medea’s acts and in the whole scene of death and destruction caused by human beings on the planet. The recourse to the Greek myth underlines the universal dimension of this conflict, as well as its tragic, hopeless nature. In an annex to the paper, the German text and the Catalan translation of Müller’s work is published
