Le jacobinisme ou les apories du politique

    What do the demands of « denaturation », « regeneration », and « transparency » reveal in jacobin thinking and practice ? Starting from the conceptual reshuffling which, in the second half of the 18th century, admits the historicity of the human being and sees in education the privileged instrument of « positive denaturation », a political practice is worked out aiming at « pedagogizing » thé social body and training the new mon (« regeneration »). Hence the emergence of a new anthropological figure : that of the revolutionary mon governed by « transparency ». But the search for this triple foundation (conceptual, political, anthropological) reveals the impossibility for jacobinism to coïncide with reality and the aporias which lead it to a suspension of reality and even to an escape from politics. What, in the jacobin approach, can make us reflect on revolutionary experience as such ?

    Que révèlent les exigences de « dénaturation », de « régénération », de « transparence » qui traversent la pensée et la pratique jacobines ? A partir du remaniement conceptuel qui ― dans la seconde moitié du 18e siècle ― fait advenir l'historicité de l'humain et voit en l'éducation l'instrument privilégié de la « dénaturation positive », s'élabore une pratique politique visant à pédagogiser le corps social, à former l'homme nouveau (la « régénération »). D'où l'émergence d'une nouvelle figure anthropologique : celle de l'homme révolutionnaire gouverné par la « transparence ». Mais la recherche de cette triple fondation (conceptuelle, politique, anthropologique) révèle du même coup l'impossibilité du jacobinisme à coïncider avec le réel et les apories qui le conduisent à la suspension de la réalité, voire à la fuite hors du politique. Qu'est-ce qui, dans la démarche jacobine, peut nous amener à réfléchir sur l'expérience révolutionnaire en tant que telle ?
