Resumen de A relação do turismo no Delta do Parnaíba com comunidades locais

  This study emphasize the relationship between tourism at the Delta of the Parnaiba and the local communities, especially those who are part of the touristic route of visit to the islands of the area. Therefore, it will highlight the perception of the Pedrinhas’s dwellers in Araioses/MA about the relationship between the community and the touristic activity at the Delta of the Parnaiba area. It started as a qualitative study, using semi-structured interviews with the community dwellers. Data processing was based on content analysis. As a result, it was perceived that the community believes that the touristic activity is only directed to large companies and that it requires a high infrastructure, without realizing that measures as the locally-based tourism, the ecotourism and cultural tourism can be developed without the need for large equipment. Hence, it is believed that the community involvement is paramount importance so that it can be benefited from tourism. Therefore, it was concluded that Pedrinha’s community might not exercise the tourism like a economic activity but it occurs in many ways on local, and in this contact the dwellers receive cultural influences which are incorporated in their way to live, without them to realize, because the process is slow and requires the contact not just from the tourists but the community.

  Este estudo enfatiza a relação do turismo do Delta do Parnaíba com as comunidades locais, especialmente aquelas que fazem parte da rota turística de visitação às ilhas da região. Para tanto, foi destacado a percepção dos moradores da comunidade Pedrinhas em Araioses/MA, acerca das relações do lugar, com a atividade turística na região do Delta. Partiu-se de um estudo qualitativo, com uso de entrevistas semiestruturadas com moradores locais. O tratamento dos dados foi com base na análise de conteúdo. Como resultados, observou-se que os entrevistados acreditam que a atividade turística na região está voltada para grandes empresas e que exige infraestrutura elevada, sem perceber a potencialidade que a comunidade possui para o turismo de base local, o ecoturismo e turismo cultural.

  Desse modo, acredita-se que a participação comunitária para o desenvolvimento turístico da região é de suma importância para que a mesma seja beneficiada com esse tipo de atividade. Portanto, concluise que a comunidade Pedrinhas, apesar de não exercer o turismo, como atividade econômica, o mesmo ocorre de várias formas no local, e nesse contato os moradores recebem influências culturais que são incorporadas em seu modo de vida, sem que eles assim as percebam, pois esse processo é lento e requer o contato não apenas dos turistas, mas da comunidade.
