    Abstract: This article originated from the master’s research that aimed to analyze aspects of proximity and distance between the socio-educational assumptions in the National Socio-Educational System (SINASE) and the Single Social Assistance System (SUAS), and the meanings attributed to the Socio Educational Measures in open environment (MSE-MA) by subjects who experienced them. The analysis of the information revealed that there is still a tendency of surveillance and social adjustment as the basis of MSE, and that, in the context permeated with contradictions where they are executed, contradictory meanings are also attributed to them.

    Resumo: O presente artigo originou-se da pesquisa de mestradoque teve como objetivo analisar aspectos de proximidades e distanciamentos entre os pressupostos da socioeducação no Sistema Nacional Socioeducativo (SINASE)e no Sistema Único de Assistência Social (SUAS), e os significados atribuídos às Medidas Socioeducativas em Meio Aberto (MSE-MA) por sujeitos que as vivenciaram. A análise das informações revelou que ainda persiste a tendência de vigilância e ajustamento social como bases das MSE, e que, no contexto permeado de contradições onde são executadas, significados contraditórios também lhes são atribuídos. Palavras-chave: Medidas Socioeducativas.
