La crisis de los migrantes que se inició a mediados del año 2015 amenaza con convertirse en una de las más graves dificultades que la UE tendrá que enfrentar en los próximos meses y puede que en los próximos años. Al drama, o mejor, a la tragedia humana se une la incapacidad política para atajar las raíces del problema, las guerras en Siria e Irak, así como la dificultad logística para paliar la lamentable situación de las personas que por miles llegan cada día a suelo europeo. En medio de todo ello se sitúa un actor que juega un rol clave: Turquía, puente entre Oriente y Occidente, el eterno candidato a miembro del Club de los Veintiocho. Sobre este gran coloso que ocupa la península de la Anatolia flota una pregunta clave, ¿es parte del problema o de la solución?

The crisis of migrants that began in mid-2015 threatens to become one of the most serious challenges the EU will face in the upcoming months and perhaps in the coming years. Added to this drama, or rather this human tragedy, joins the political inability to tackle the roots of the problem, the wars in Syria and Iraq, as well as the logistical difficulty to alleviate the plight of the people who come by thousands every day to European soil. Amid all this is located an actor who plays a key role: Turkey, a bridge between East and West, the everlasting candidate member to the Twenty Eight Club. Over this colossus that occupies the Anatolian peninsula overlies a key question, is it part of the problem or the solution?
