Este artículo describe la figura intelectual, las obras, la sabiduría jurídica y la resonancia intelectual contemporánea de un gran jurista del siglo XX, el civilista y sociólogo del derecho francés Jean Carbonnier (1908-2003), y ofrece algunas indicaciones acerca del recibo en lengua española de sus ideas, en particular con referencia a la hipótesis del no-derecho.

This article describes the intellectual figure, the works, the juridical wisdom and the intellectual contemporary resonance of a great jurist of the 20th century, the student of civil law and sociologist of law Jean Carbonnier (1908-2003), and offers some indications of the receipt in spanish language of his ideas, particularly those referring to the hypothesis of non-law.
