This article describes the human capital determinant of the employability of Mexican university graduates, in order to identify the differences in employment by gender and training area. Data from the National Survey of Occupation and Employment in 2010 and from 12 groups ranked in the careers coding catalogue of the National Institute of Statistics and Geography are used. Logit model is applied to show the probability of being occupied based on certain characteristics of the individuals being studied. The distribution of employment by gender in each professional area is determined by the Dissimilarity Index Duncan.
