  • The Government Mechanical Laboratory in Japan has been performing the special research project on the numerical control of machine tools since 1956. As a part of the project, the prototype of a numerically controlled milling machine was developed in March 1958. This paper treats with the digital servomechanism applied to this prototype machine.
