  • The article reports on the Broad Contemporary Art Museum, which will open on February 16, 2008 as the first phase of expansion for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), in California. The Broad's building was designed by architect Renzo Piano and funded by philanthropist Eli Broad, a longtime LACMA trustee. Information on the opening ceremonies for the Broad, its collection, and single-artist galleries is provided together with information on other LACMA expansion plans.
