  • The article discusses various awards presented to artists. The author suggests that the visual arts community does not have an honor that compares to the Nobel Prize or the Oscars in terms of financial value or public recognition. Several prizes presented to visual artists are listed including the Whitney Biennial's Bucksbaum Award, the Praemium Imperiale, and the Turner Prize. An exhibition titled "Turner Prize: A Retrospective," at the Tate Britain museum in London, England is referenced.
