  • The article reports that the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City returned several antiquities with questionable provenances to Italy in January 2008. Among the art works returned to the Italian government was the "Euphronios krater," which was allegedly removed from Italy by grave robbers in 1971. It is reported that Italy has loaned the Met four antiquities to acknowledge its cooperation in the process of reappropriating its stolen antiquities.
