The article features the new building of Sheila C. Johnson Design Center at Parsons/The New School for Design in New York City. The establishment has joined four century-old buildings that the New School has occupied since the 1970s. The project includes meeting rooms, a design archive, an 89-seat auditorium and a reworking of the Aronson Galleries facing Fifth Avenue. They opened with "Soft Parade" an exhibition of 28 major works from the New School's art collection.
