  • The article reports on the launched of the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World (ISAW) by the New York University. ISAW, a permanent venue for the study and exhibition of ancient art, was founded by the Institute's board chairman Shelby White with the funds from the Leon Levy Foundation. This project was conceptualized as an independent study center for research and graduate education. ISAW plans of having programs of exhibitions, lectures and publications.
