  • This article looks at research being done on quantum computing. Two separate teams have made the first chip-based version of a quantum bus, a tool for mixing and swapping information between qubits. Neither group could get the wire to store a photon for very long and they will have to be able to do that to keep superconducting qubits stable for longer time periods.
