This article reports on printing technology that earned the magazine's award for excellence in Trends in Business, Policy and Research for Masahiro Furusawa of Seiko Epson Corporation in Japan. Furusawa and his team developed a printer that can output silicon chips which can then be baked in a kitchen oven to drive out the hydrogen. This machine offers an alternative to the traditional process for making microchips.
