  • This article reports that the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology has created a doughnut-shaped condensate that can last for ten seconds which offers scientists a view of everlasting flows that are possible in ultra cold particles. It is hoped that this discovery will lead to more understanding about superfluidity and lead to very precise navigation gyroscopes.
